Design of PCF Supporting 86 OAM Modes with High Mode Quality and Low Nonlinear Coefficient

A unique photonic crystal fiber with square and circular air holes (SC-PCF) is designed in this research. Three layers of two levels make up the cladding. The finite element approach used to simulate construction, numerical calculations are examine transmission properties S+C+L band. results reveal that SC-PCF can sustain 86 Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) modes wavelength range 1400 nm 1700 (300 nm), an effective refractive index difference (ERID) 5.88 × 10?3 between them, thus avoiding mode coupling. purity all greater than 96% at 1550 nm, lowest dispersion change 4.939 ps/nm/km 0.956 ps/nm/km, respectively. confinement loss (CL) lower 10?9 dB/m, nonlinear coefficient (NC) 1.5 W?1·km?1 whole proposed has important value long-distance large-capacity communication systems.
